Marcio Torres is currently ranked #207 on the ATP Doubles Tour. The
Brazilian born doubles specialist reached a career high of #134 in
April of 2008 and is gaining momentum again this summer after a mild
setback with a wrist injury in May of this year.
Born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil,Torres had a dominant junior career
before he followed his tennis dreams to the states with successful
stints at Clemson and University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Marcio turned professional in 2003.
The Solfire Nation has had a great ambassador, friend, and advisor in
Marcio since last summer when he first took a liking to the brand and
starting sporting the artistic prints all around the world on the ATP
and Challenger Tour. Torres stands for everything Solfire embodies
all day, everday. He is currently playing a full doubles schedule on
tour, getting his MBA online, and has started a tax consulting company
for other players on the tour. Not to mention, he is friendly with
just about every player on the circuit.
The Solfire Team is excited to have Marcio on board and looks forward
to a big run late this summer and into the fall from the Brazilian.
